The West Coast Fire Defense Koshin Wildfire Defense Kit is a residential wildfire defense system built around one critical difference: high pressure.

Most water pumps are designed to move large volumes of water quickly — useful for irrigation or flood control, but not for fire defense. The Koshin high pressure pump at the center of this kit is engineered specifically for fire defense, delivering 81 PSI through the hose and nozzle. That pressure is what throws water to the peak of your roofline, pushes through wind, and allows the nozzle to create the wide fog coverage needed to suppress embers and protect siding, eaves, and decking. Because this system operates at high pressure rather than high volume, it uses water efficiently — your swimming pool or storage tank will sustain the system for an extended period without draining rapidly.

This kit draws directly from a swimming pool, water storage tank, pond, or cistern — no fire hydrant or municipal water connection required. Two separate discharge hoses — 50 ft and 100 ft — are included for flexibility. Use the 50 ft hose for immediate coverage around the structure, or deploy the 100 ft hose when greater reach is needed to protect fencing, outbuildings, or surrounding vegetation.

All components are pre-mounted on a heavy-duty steel hand truck dolly with hoses on holders and all fittings included. Connect the intake hose to your water source, attach the discharge hose and nozzle, and the system is ready to operate.

What's Included

1. Koshin High Pressure High Pressure Pump with Honda GX160 Engine High pressure centrifugal pump powered by a genuine Honda GX160 engine. Self-priming design draws water from pools, tanks, or open water sources up to 26 ft below the pump. Built-in low oil shutdown protects the engine automatically. CARB and EPA compliant for use in California.

2. 100 ft Discharge Fire Hose — 1.5" ID For long-distance coverage. Run this hose from the pump to the far perimeter of your property, around structures, or toward approaching fire. Lay-flat design unrolls quickly and stores compactly on the dolly holder when not in use.

3. 50 ft Discharge Fire Hose — 1.5" ID For shorter-range work close to the structure. Use independently to wet down siding, eaves, decking, or vegetation immediately surrounding the home without running excess hose. Same coupling standard as the 100 ft hose.

4. 20 ft PVC Suction/Intake Hose — 2 in. with Strainer Connects the pump to your water source. The built-in foot strainer at the inlet end prevents debris from entering and damaging the pump. Spiral-reinforced PVC construction holds its shape under suction and does not collapse.

5. Fire Hose Nozzle — 1.5" NH/NST Adjustable nozzle with three spray patterns to match the situation. Straight stream for maximum distance and penetration. Fog pattern for wide area coverage and suppression. Jet for high-velocity direct application. Connects directly to the discharge hose coupling.

6. Brass Hose Adapter — 2" NPT Female x 1.5" NST Male Bridges the pump's 2" NPT outlet to the 1.5" NST fire hose. Required connection that makes the pump and hose system compatible. Solid brass construction resists corrosion and provides a leak-free seal.

7. Easy Transport Dolly Cart  The pump mounts directly to this steel hand truck, making the entire system easy to move. From storage to poolside or any location on your property in seconds. Pneumatic wheels handle uneven terrain.

8. L-Shape Hose Holders — Set of 2 Bolted to the dolly frame to keep both discharge hoses and the intake hose coiled and off the ground. Hoses stay organized during storage and can be deployed immediately without untangling.

9. Mounting Hardware Stainless steel nuts and bolts for securing the hose holders to the dolly frame. All hardware is included — no trip to the hardware store required.
